Job Description

UHY Resource Solutions is seeking an Accountant who is detail-oriented and experienced to manage financial records, maintain accurate reporting, and support day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with QuickBooks and hold an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or be CPA-eligible. This role requires excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key focus areas

• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Prepare and file sales tax, payroll tax, and other regulatory reports
• Support external audits and tax preparation processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management
• Improve accounting procedures and internal controls for greater efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
• 10+ years of accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance requirements
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
