Job summary

CFS is seeking a Senior Accountant in a hybrid role in Hoffman Estates, IL. The position involves managing month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement prep, with a focus on GAAP-compliant revenue recognition and multi-state tax filings.

You will partner with leadership to drive timely financial insights and process improvements. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) with 3+ years in manufacturing accounting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee deferred revenue accounting and revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, analyze variances, and provide insights to leadership.
• Administer multi-state sales and use tax filings and maintain compliance.
• Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy across accounting activities.
• Drive process improvements and cross-functional accounting projects.
