Job summary

Tract Capital Management in Denver seeks a Senior Accountant to join our headquarters. The role reports to the Director of Accounting Operations and will manage core accounting functions following U.S.

GAAP, with a focus on timely close, intercompany activity, and accurate financial reporting. You have 4+ years of accounting experience, familiarity with NetSuite ERP, multi-currency transactions, and a CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP preferred.
• Experience in property/partnership accounting or REIT tax rules is a plus.
• Ability to manage multi-currency, multi-entity and intercompany transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform monthly variance analyses and explain financial fluctuations.
• Oversee Accounts Payable functions including invoices and payments.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, capitalization policies, roll-forwards and reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and daily cash activity management.
• Maintain prepaids, other assets and intangible assets accounting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and alignment with internal policies.
• Prepare schedules, workpapers and support for external audits.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts monthly and support stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on financial data and process improvements.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in our Denver headquarters. This role reports directly to the Director of Accounting Operations and will be responsible for performing and coordinating core accounting functions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The role requires a detail-oriented and highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is comfortable working with minimal day-to-day supervision.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Perform monthly variance analysis and explain results and financial fluctuations.
• Provide daily oversight of the Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, workflow management, GL coding, and timely vendor payments.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization policies, roll-forwards, and reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage daily cash activity, including deposits, wires, and transfers.
• Maintain accounting for prepaids, other assets, and intangible assets.
• Ensure financial records comply with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Prepare schedules, workpapers, and provide support for external audits.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts on a monthly basis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial information and support business stakeholders.
• Assist with special projects, process improvements, and system implementations as needed.

Basic Qualifications (minimum requirements)

Education, Professional Certification, and Licenses

• BA or BS degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP strongly preferred.
• Experience in property accounting, partnership accounting, or REIT tax rules a plus.
• Experience with multi-currency, multi-entity, and intercompany transactions preferred.

Annual Compensation Range

$90,000 - $110,000 Base Salary + Discretionary Bonus
