Job summary

Beehive Industries, located in Colorado, seeks a Senior Accountant to own end-to-end monthly close and reporting under US GAAP and government contract accounting (FAR). The role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager with frequent interaction with VP Finance.

You will support policy publication, maintain ERP systems, and help prepare executive-level financial results for monthly reviews and board presentations. A CPA is preferred and US citizenship/security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• At least 3 years’ accounting experience; public accounting a plus.
• Heavy manufacturing/industrial background preferred.
• US government contract accounting experience a plus.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end monthly close for all divisions, GAAP and FAR compliance, GL maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Publish and maintain core accounting policies over travel, procure‑to‑pay, revenue recognition, billing, lease accounting, and asset acquisition.
• Maintain and improve the ERP system, NetSuite.
• Prepare financial results and monthly board/divisional reporting for execs and the Board as needed.
• Oversee AR/AP analysts in invoicing, cash application, and collections.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations for cross‑functional alignment.
• Work with Controller and advisors to ensure tax compliance and timely filings.

Role Overview

The Senior Accountant role is a critical role in the accounting organization, helping develop and execute crucial accounting process and policy aligned with US GAAP and US Government Contract Accounting (i.e., FAR regulations). The Senior Accountant will support end-to-end full cycle accounting processes and reporting, both internal and external. This role will report to the Senior Accounting Manager with daily interactions with multiple other departments and frequent updates with the VP of Accounting and VP of Finance.

What You’ll Do

• Execute end-to-end monthly Accounting close activities for all Beehive Industries Divisions – including GAAP accounting and record‑keeping, GL maintenance, financial reporting, internal controls, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support Controller and Accounting Senior Manager in publishing and maintaining core accounting policies and procedures over travel, procure‑to‑pay, rev‑rec, billing, lease accounting, and asset acquisition
• Support continued efficiency improvements and maintenance of the company’s ERP, NetSuite
• Support VP of Accounting and Accounting Senior Manager in preparation of financial results and executive level reporting for Monthly Business Reviews, as well as Board of Directors presentations as needed
• Help oversee and coach AR / AP Analysts in execution of supplier invoicing, cash application, and customer collections
• Build strong cross‑functional partnerships with key department leads including FP&A, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations
• Support Controller and 3rd party advisors to enable tax compliance and accounting; ensure timely tax filings and payments

You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA preferred; master’s degree in accounting is a plus
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting; public accounting experience is a plus,
• Heavy manufacturing or industrial background is preferred
• Big Four public accounting experience is a plus
• US government contract accounting experience is a plus
• Must have experience with NetSuite or similar ERP environment
• Advanced skills required in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability and willingness to reach out inter‑departmentally to ask hard questions to drive process improvement
• A positive, can‑do attitude; there is no challenge or roadblock too big – you will knock down walls and find a solution!
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Have

• Experience in technical Accounting and US GAAP framework
• Experience with cost accounting and inventory valuation
• Analytical – a desire to dive into the details to explain variances, trends, and operational drivers.
• Experience supporting technical teams to implement accounting framework and policy in an ERP environment.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $90,000–$118,000 base salary.
