Job summary

SCI Summit Consulting, LLC seeks an experienced Account Manager to advocate for customer needs across a portfolio of simple to moderately complex accounts. You will ensure on-time delivery of products and services, collaborate with internal teams, and help retain and renew client relationships.

The role requires 3+ years in account management (insurance preferred), strong communication, CRM proficiency, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of account management experience, preferably in insurance.
• Familiar with account and client management principles and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in marketing software and tools, such as CRM systems and email marketing platforms.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (day and overnight).

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary advocate for customer needs and issues related to simple to moderately complex accounts or group of accounts.
• Maintains a deep understanding of client requests, priorities, and needs to drive overall customer satisfaction.
• Ensures implementation of product and/or services are delivered on time and meet client requirements in terms of schedule, risks, scope, and budget.
• Ensures internal resources maintain a clear understanding of the client's requests, priorities, and needs to drive customer satisfaction.
• Collaborates with Business Development, Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, Loss Control, etc. to address account-related concerns.
• Assist Business Development, Marketing, and Underwriting in retaining and renewing accounts.
• Leverages existing client relationships to support business growth and coordinates introductions to Business Development, Marketing, or Underwriting departments to prospect new business.
• Identifies potential new products/services for existing customers.
• Prepares materials for new prospect marketing presentations and capabilities presentations.
• Compiles data and prepares reports that track open issues, service levels, and product/service effectiveness.
• Provides insights to enhance overall account management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities

• Assist Business Development, Marketing, and Underwriting in retaining and renewing accounts.
• Leverages existing client relationships to support business growth and coordinates introductions to Business Development, Marketing, or Underwriting departments to prospect new business. Identifies potential new products/services for existing customers.
• Prepares materials for new prospect marketing presentations and capabilities presentations.
• Compiles data and prepares reports that track open issues, service levels, and product/service effectiveness.
• Provides insights to enhance overall account management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in-office days are Tuesday-Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.

Job Requirements

Education: Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience: Generally, a minimum of 3 years of account management experience, preferably in the insurance industry.

Scope of Job/Qualifications: Familiar with account and client management principles and practices. Works on assignments of moderate technical complexity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Uses communication skills to build and leverage effective customer relationships and to explain/promote products and services. Maintains product and industry knowledge of the customers' business. Proficiency in marketing software and tools, such as CRM systems and email marketing platforms. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Requires occasional day and overnight travel.
