Job description

Basic Qualifications

The successful Military & IC (Intelligence Community) Account Manager will possess a bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related discipline along with the following:

  • 8+ years of direct customer interaction and/or involvement experience with the IC Community
  • Prior military experience and/or familiarity with the IC culture
  • Proven ability to interact with target customers at all levels and demonstrated experience with closing sales transactions
  • Familiarity with technical networking concepts, network security principles, and secure product offerings
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, work independently, and take initiative
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Advanced working knowledge of Windows applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Travel requirements: up to 50%. Ability and willingness to travel to all account activities and to GDMS corporate activities as required
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical and product solutions to small and large audiences
  • Capable of hands-on problem solving, with ability to engage and communicate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Support, Engineering, and Sales Management
  • Experience supporting government contract vehicles, procurement activities, and proficiency in compliance/regulatory reporting and guidelines is highly desirable

Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance at the time of hire. Applicants will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Account Executive. The role offers an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization supporting national security missions for our nation and allies.

GDMS is seeking a talented Senior Level Account Manager focused on maintaining and growing our customer base within the military and IC sectors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishing and expanding relationships with key military and IC programs, organizations, and customers to promote GDMS products and solutions
  • Developing strategic plans for long-term sales growth within assigned accounts
  • Creating, collaborating, and executing strategies to increase revenue
  • Opportunity development, pursuit, and closure
  • Scheduling site visits and teleconferences for demonstrations, account maintenance, and influencing future plans
  • Supporting pre-sales and post-sales customer engagement
  • Delivering annual sales quotas with consistent growth while ensuring sustainability

Preference for candidates based in the National Capital Region (MD/VA/DC), with openness to candidates from Dedham, MA, or remote candidates willing to travel.

This estimate reflects typical salary ranges based on experience and location, with actual pay varying. The posting remains open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $133,400.00 - USD $144,600.00 /Yr.
