Job summary

Armanino is seeking an experienced accounting professional in New York to manage client accounting needs, lead financial reporting, and oversee payroll and tax-related tasks. You will coordinate with payroll providers and contribute to client service excellence in a dynamic team setting.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in accounting, strong QuickBooks experience, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements, ensuring accuracy and timely deliverables while supporting business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience including GL, AP, AR, payroll and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and experience across multiple accounting systems.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver accounting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for assigned clients and ensure proactive communication.
• Oversee cash management, transfers, and wire approvals.
• Review invoices and oversee timely bill payments.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and GL activity for accuracy.
• Review cash flow, AR, and tax filings (1099s, payroll taxes).
• Coordinate with payroll providers and review payroll tax returns.
• Support client insurance, credit, and vendor matters with team lead.
• Prepare supporting docs for tax examinations and complex needs.
• Mentor and train junior staff; lead client meetings and projects.
