Job description

About AMZ Advisers:

AMZ Advisers is a digital media marketing agency focused on developing and implementing strategic marketing plans for the global Amazon marketplaces. Working at AMZ Advisers allows you to apply your skills, expertise, and passions to directly impact the lives and business of other people and entrepreneurs. Our staff solves dynamic, quickly evolving problems with our Founders, in-house team, and network of partnered tech companies. Our Account Management team is organized into pods, consisting of Senior Account Managers (SAMs), Junior Account Managers (JAMs), and Apprentices and Interns. This structure fosters knowledge sharing, mentorship, and continuous learning.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a driven and self‑motivated problem solver with exceptionally strong communication skills and the ability to build long‑lasting client relationships. We offer a fast‑paced, challenging, and creative environment where you will be provided the opportunity to sharpen your analytical, communication, and strategic development skills. You will be offered resources and growth opportunities to learn more about online marketing to enhance your professional career.

The ideal candidate is an independent thinker who can confidently manage multiple Amazon Seller and Vendor Central accounts while leading client relationships with a high level of ownership and professionalism. As an Account Manager, this person will be responsible for building strong strategies, guiding clients through clear and proactive communication, and ensuring their portfolio is progressing toward the right goals. They should be comfortable working closely with their Brand Strategist and cross‑functional pod members, while taking the lead on day‑to‑day account direction, strategic execution, and client success.

This is a fully remote position. If hired, you will join a company with an amazing and talented staff.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, gradually growing to approximately 10 accounts, while maintaining a high retention rate.

  • Build strong, long‑term client relationships through clear, proactive, and confident communication.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and strategically guided at all times.

  • Set clear expectations with clients and manage those expectations throughout the lifecycle of the account.

  • Conduct regular strategy calls with clients to review performance, communicate progress, explain results, and align on upcoming priorities.

  • Build, track, and monitor KPIs for all accounts under personal portfolio management.

  • Conduct audits of client accounts and use data to identify opportunities, blockers, and areas for improvement.

  • Develop strategic growth plans tailored to each client’s goals, lifecycle stage, and account conditions.

  • Proactively identify and recommend strategies to improve account performance across sales, traffic, conversion, profitability, inventory, content, and advertising.

  • Report on account progress, key action items, and next‑step priorities in a clear and organized way.

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee promotions, launches, and marketplace initiatives in alignment with the broader account strategy.

  • Coordinate the resolution of account issues by working with internal teams and escalating through the appropriate channels when needed.

  • Use internal and external software tools to analyze account performance and support strategy development.

  • Work cross‑functionally with Ads, Specialists, Content, Onboarding, and Strategists to ensure strategies are executed effectively and aligned to client goals.

  • Attend Account Management meetings, trainings, and ongoing development sessions on a weekly or bi‑weekly basis.

  • Participate in daily stand‑up meetings to raise blockers, align on priorities, and maintain execution momentum.

General Responsibilities
  • Conduct account audits and turn findings into clear, actionable strategies.

  • Build client strategies based on data, marketplace trends, account health, business goals, and realistic opportunity areas.

  • Understand how to prioritize focus SKUs based on performance, profitability, traffic potential, conversion, and growth opportunity.

  • Adjust strategies as needed based on data, seasonality, competitive changes, and evolving client objectives.

  • Ensure every recommendation has a clear reason behind it and can be explained confidently to the client.

Advertising & Amazon Knowledge
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Amazon as a whole, including traffic, conversion, listing quality, profitability, inventory, account health, and category dynamics.

  • Understand Amazon advertising strategy well enough to contribute meaningfully to planning, decision‑making, and client communication.

  • Be able to interpret ad performance, identify high‑level opportunities or inefficiencies, and connect advertising decisions to the broader business strategy.

  • Work closely with the Ads team and Strategist to align ad direction with overall account goals, whether those goals are growth, profitability, ranking, launch velocity, or market share.

  • Communicate ad strategy and performance to clients in a way that is clear, accurate, and tied back to business outcomes.

Pod Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Brand Strategist within the pod to refine account strategy, validate recommendations, and elevate higher‑level concerns when needed.

  • Collaborate with pod members regularly through meetings, brainstorming sessions, and strategy discussions.

  • Keep internal teams aligned by ensuring priorities, deadlines, and strategic direction are clearly communicated.

  • Support a collaborative pod environment where ideas, blockers, and opportunities are surfaced early.

Client Communication & Relationship Management
  • Lead proactive, transparent, and solutions‑oriented communication with clients.

  • Build trust by not only reporting on what happened, but clearly explaining why it happened, what it means, and what should happen next.

  • Be able to handle difficult conversations, performance concerns, and conflicting client goals with confidence and professionalism.

  • Guide clients toward the right strategic decisions, even when those decisions require pushback or expectation resetting.

  • Ensure clients feel that their accounts are being actively managed, thoughtfully reviewed, and strategically guided.

  • Encourage client feedback and use it to strengthen the relationship and improve the service experience.

  • Help identify retention risks early and take action before they become larger client issues.

Check‑ins, Accountability & Growth Opportunities
  • Regularly review account progress and raise issues, risks, or missed opportunities early.

  • Stay proactive in identifying upsell and expansion opportunities where appropriate.

  • Take ownership of account outcomes and maintain strong follow‑through on action items.

  • Continuously look for ways to improve account performance, internal processes, and the client experience.

  • Active listening and the ability to understand client needs.

  • Proactive, go‑getter mindset who functions well within a team setting but can work independently.
