Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
- New Business Handling: Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base and increase revenue.
- Meet or exceed sales targets for both personal and commercial insurance products.
- Develop and execute targeted sales campaigns to attract prospective clients.
Client Retention & Relationship Management
- Create and implement retention strategies to maintain long-term client relationships.
- Ensure ongoing satisfaction by providing proactive communication, policy reviews, and timely resolution of issues.
- Build strong relationships with individual and business clients through trust, responsiveness, and personalized service.
Client & Policy Management
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify appropriate insurance products and coverage levels.
- Manage policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and claims support.
- Provide guidance on policy options, coverage enhancements, and compliance requirements.
Operational & Administrative Oversight
- Oversee billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing.
- Assist clients with claims filing and follow-up to ensure efficient resolution.
- Prepare and present detailed sales reports, performance metrics, and forecasts to senior management.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with internal teams, including underwriting, claims, and customer service, to ensure seamless client experiences.
- Train, mentor, and oversee less experienced staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that supports professional growth and exceptional client service.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in personal and commercial insurance sales, account management, or related role.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, policy structures, and industry regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in insurance management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Leadership skills with experience in staff training and development.
Note: Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial lines insurance.
- Active Massachusetts Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain).
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including General Liability, Property, Workers’ Compensation, and Commercial Auto.
- Proficiency with agency management systems and carrier portals.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
