Job summary

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants seeks a seasoned professional to lead insurance due diligence for buy-side M&A, assess risks, coverage gaps, and tail/run-off strategies, and provide expert guidance to clients and deal teams.

You will collaborate with clients, producers, underwriters, and legal counsel to ensure seamless integration of insurance programs across deal life cycles, while supporting post-close risk management objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 5+ years client service or related experience.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience with insurance programs and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead insurance due diligence for buy-side M&A transactions.
  • Analyze programs for risks, coverage gaps, and transaction exposures.
  • Execute post-close insurance strategies including tail/run-off and endorsements.
  • Advise on complex insurance programs, renewals, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with clients, producers, underwriters, and legal advisors to align risk with transaction goals.
  • Serve as primary contact for clients, providing risk management guidance.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Serve as a strategic advisor supporting mergers and acquisitions by leading insurance due diligence, evaluating transaction-related risks, and ensuring seamless insurance integration throughout the deal lifecycle. The role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, producers, and the transaction team by providing strategic guidance on risk, coverage, and insurance program alignment across both ongoing operations and transactional events.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Lead insurance due diligence for buy-side M&A transactions, including review of policies, claims history, loss runs, and exposure data
  • Analyze insurance programs to identify risks, coverage deficiencies, contingent liabilities, and transaction-related exposures
  • Implement post-close insurance strategies, including entity additions/removals, coverage restructuring, policy endorsements, and tail/run-off coverage placement
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on complex commercial insurance programs, renewal strategy, carrier negotiations, and ongoing risk management initiatives
  • Collaborate with clients, producers, underwriters, legal counsel, and transaction advisors to deliver integrated risk and insurance solutions aligned with transaction objectives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering expert guidance on risk management, coverage structure, and compliance requirements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5+ years of client service, or High School degree with a minimum of 7 years of client service
  • Team-oriented self-starter, with the ability to organize, prioritize, monitor, control workflow deadlines, and be flexible
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Adaptability and resilience in managing shifting priorities
  • A collaborative mindset to work with teams across EPIC
  • Insurance technical skills; ability to apply knowledge of coverage forms in analysis, identification of coverage gaps, and ongoing coverage consultation
  • Receptive to feedback; critical thinking and problem-solving skills; high adaptability
  • Ability to work well under pressure with attention to details
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical abilities
  • Property and Casualty Insurance License
  • Insurance Designation(s) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with agency management systems such as Sagitta, ImageRight, etc
