Job description

Infinite Global is an international communications firm specializing in PR, Content & Campaigns, and Crisis & Litigation. Our clients are ambitious, complex organizations that need to engage with sophisticated audiences. We provide the experience, skills and insight to drive brands forward and, in special situations, to deploy strategies to defend clients from reputational risk.

We serve knowledge-intensive firms, with a focus on the legal and financial services sectors. Some of the world’s largest, most profitable and most specialized law firms and financial services firms look to us for a nuanced understanding of their businesses, a clear sense of the kinds of stories that make news, and tested knowledge of when and how to engage the media.

Our unwavering client focus sets us apart and our approach and success earns accolades from our clients and peers. We are consistently named among PR News’ “Agency Elite” and “Top Places to Work in PR” and have been recognized as the “Best PR Firm” by the National Law Journal seven times.

What we’re looking for

A media relations practitioner with a few years of agency or in-house experience, ready to take on greater ownership of client work. The Senior Account Executive leverages a solid understanding of media relations techniques to develop and execute public relations initiatives that promote our clients to their intended audiences across different media outlets.

Relying on communication, critical thinking and decision-making skills, you will play an active role in day-to-day client liaison. You will also delegate work to and coach more junior professionals to ensure your team is delivering on its strategic priorities and that clients receive a consistently high level of attention and professional service. Ideal candidates will bring a minimum of three years of PR and communications experience, with exposure to professional services and B2B clients and prior agency experience strongly preferred.

What you’d do
  • Identify opportunities to build clients’ visibility in media outlets that reach their target audience. Develop key messages and effective media pitches on timely news pegs; send pitches to journalists and follow up to secure opportunities.
  • Manage multiple projects for multiple clients from concept to completion by anticipating challenges, troubleshooting problems, proposing solutions, overseeing quality, and ensuring deadline adherence and timely communication regarding progress and key developments. When relevant, delegate to junior colleagues.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of your clients’ businesses, including strategy, industry issues, services, key clients, and competitive landscape. Work with the team to proactively identify and address clients’ needs.
  • Ensure the thorough handling of all client service administration activities, including preparing client status and activity reports; taking note of all action items resulting from client liaison; following up on open and pending items; tracking for and compiling media coverage; and coordinating meeting and interview scheduling.
  • Develop high-quality written communication, including agendas, reports, client emails and press releases, with only general direction from your supervisor.
  • Contribute to the creation of strategic media plans to meet client objectives and work with the team to execute on agreed-upon objectives.
  • Leverage existing media relationships and develop new connections with key journalists across vertical and mainstream media outlets.
  • Assist junior professionals in resolving issues that arise with clients or journalists by explaining policies, standard procedures, and best practices. Serve as a mentor by modeling desired behavior and acting as a sounding board when creative input is needed.
  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of professional skills; identify and pursue stretch goals.
  • Participate in initiatives that further Infinite’s vision and values among both internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Infinite’s values (integrity, agility, compassion, and courage).
Why we want you
  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • You have a minimum of three years’ PR and communications work experience. Exposure to professional services and B2B clients and prior agency experience is strongly preferred.
  • You are highly curious, creative, and results-driven, with superior critical thinking, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • You are professional, collegial and client service oriented.
  • You have a proven track record of successfully implementing a variety of creative and effective public relations initiatives that have generated measurable results for clients.
  • You are detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines; you are able to manage multiple projects.
  • You are skilled with media database software (Cision) and research tactics.
  • You have demonstrated strength as a writer; knowledge of AP style and the ability to proof, edit and coach others’ writing abilities.
What we offer
  • Friendly and highly collaborative working environment where your voice will be heard and your ideas will count.
  • Opportunity to work with leading law firms and professional services firms on a global scale within an international network.
  • A focus on growth and professional development: twice annual professional planning sessions, regular access to leadership and mentorship opportunities.
  • Hybrid work schedule; two days in the office with three optional work-from-home days per week.
  • $175 one-time stipend for your at-home work set-up; $50 monthly stipend for your smartphone contract and a stipend to upgrade your device every three years.
  • Competitive salary and customizable benefits package including: 100% company paid health, dental and vision insurance coverage; 401k with competitive company match; monthly benefit stipend that can be used for health and wellness, transportation, student loan repayment or charitable contributions; Employee Assistance Program and free annual membership to the Calm app.
  • Ample time off: 15 vacation days, 10 annual company holidays, nine days paid sick leave, one personal day and an “on call” period between Christmas and New Year’s.
  • Unlimited paid time off to volunteer and 100% matching of charitable contributions up to $1,000 per year.
  • Thorough onboarding and training process that extends throughout your tenure with the company.
