At Auror, we’re empowering the retail industry to stop theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 Billion problem globally. It’s high volume crime that’s increasingly organized in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day.

Founded in New Zealand 12 years ago, we’re working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. We’re using technology for good and prioritize privacy by design principles.

In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world’s largest problems. If you’re looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then we want you on our team.

We’re also embracing the potential of AI to supercharge our impact—whether that’s enhancing the way we detect trends, support our customers, or improve internal workflows. As a company, we’re committed to responsibly incorporating AI into how we work and what we build, and we encourage all Aurors to be curious about how AI can elevate their work, regardless of role or function.

The Role

We’re looking for a dynamic, strategic, and driven enterprise sales director to help us grow our customer base and build lasting partnerships with the biggest names in retail.

As our Senior Account Executive, you’ll be at the forefront of driving growth in this exciting market where we are revolutionizing how retailers fight crime with our cutting‑edge SaaS platform. Working closely with our VP of Sales - North America, and collaborating with our Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Success teams, you’ll take ownership of building strong relationships with retail and loss prevention leaders across the industry.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute winning strategies to expand our presence in the North American retail market.
  • Build meaningful partnerships with senior retail executives and asset protection and loss prevention leaders, clearly articulating and demonstrating the value and return on investment (ROI).
  • Manage the full sales process from identifying new opportunities and prospecting to deal closure and post‑sale success, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Lead presentations, demos, and discussions that articulate the value of our platform in a way that resonates with decision‑makers.
  • Be an industry advocate, representing Auror at key events and shaping the way the retail sector approaches crime prevention.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and long‑term partnerships.

This role reports to Trevor Symons, VP Sales - North America.

Requirements
  • You’re a strategic thinker with the ability to design and execute on sales plans.
  • Proven ability in identifying and solving business problems with customers.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organisational and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong relationships at all stakeholder levels.
  • Self‑motivated to maintain regular contact and partnership with prospects and internal teams.
  • Analytically strong, and able to build and execute strategy around key prospects with a data‑informed and outcome‑focused mindset.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. We operate in a dynamic way which can mean priorities and pace can change accordingly.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to meet and collaborate with our customers.
  • Understanding of the retail and LP landscape, and if you don’t, you’re interested in learning all about it.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation range: $260K on‑target earnings with uncapped earnings for those who outperform.
  • Employee share scheme: You’ll own part of a company making a real difference!
  • Flexibility: We are hard‑working and outcome focused, but recognise there is more to life than work. We promote a healthy work/life blend.
  • Shorter work weeks (at full pay): Everyone gets Friday afternoons off, so you can start your weekend early, and do more of whatever it is that makes you happy.
  • Focus on mental and physical health: We understand how vital our health is and have policies to support your wellness, including wellness days and up to three expert sessions paid for every year.
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision): Auror covers 100% of the cost of your health insurance plan with United Healthcare & Metlife.
  • Family‑friendly: We offer comprehensive parental leave and benefits for primary and non‑primary caregivers, including a baby bonus and meals delivered to your door.
  • Personal growth: We support our team to participate in courses, conferences, or events that will help them develop their skills.
  • Team love: We have regular team lunches and social events where most (if not all) activities are during work hours.
