Job summary

Confluent is seeking a Staff Security Risk & Compliance Program Manager - Access Management to own the internal access program and evolve it toward machine and workload identity, including S2S authentication, non-human identity, and AI agent access controls.

You will oversee the Access Management Standard, policy governance, and quarterly executive reporting, coordinating with identity, IT, and engineering teams to ensure a coherent, auditable access posture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security program management.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale access programs.
• Strong IAM concepts: least privilege, RBAC/ABAC.
• Familiarity with machine/workload identity and AI-access patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic direction and roadmap for internal access management.
• Lead machine/workload identity and S2S authentication efforts.
• Define and maintain Access Management Standard and governance.
• Own metrics, reporting and governance cadence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, platform and identity teams.
