Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking a hands-on Project Specialist III to join a major data centre campus programme in the Chicago area. You will configure, test, and commission access control and video systems on large construction sites, coordinating with IT and stakeholders to ensure up-time.

You’ll bring strong access control experience (Lenel, Genetec, Software House a plus), solid networking fundamentals, and comfortable field-based work on multi-site projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on access control expertise required on large construction sites.
• Strong networking fundamentals to coordinate with IT teams.
• Experience with hardware installation and commissioning on-site.
• Comfortable communicating with customers and stakeholders on project status.

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, and commission access control and video systems on large, mission-critical construction sites
• Join once cabling is complete, own testing through Level 1-3 commissioning
• Configuring, testing & commissioning
• Hands-on troubleshooting alongside the sub-contracted team
• Coordinate directly with customer IT and stakeholders to ensure network holds up its end — talk the talk
