Job summary

Montefiore Einstein Center for Transplantation in the Bronx seeks a Transplant Hepatologist to join a high-volume, multidisciplinary team serving diverse liver disease and transplant patients.

Academic rank is flexible (assistant to professor) with opportunities for clinical leadership, research collaboration with NIH-supported centers, and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The role includes inpatient service oversight and potential leadership in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Completion of Fellowship training in GI and Transplant Hepatology from an ACGME-accredited program (or equivalent).
• Board Eligible or Certified in both Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology
• Eligible for NY state licensure
• Demonstrated excellence in academic medicine and education

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for liver diseases and patients undergoing transplantation.
• Supervise inpatient service for advanced liver disease and post-transplant care; mentor residents and fellows.
• Perform hepatology consultations at Montefiore Moses and/or Weiler campuses; teach and supervise trainees.
• Engage in clinical research and collaborate with related centers; contribute to education and program growth.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and develop care pathways in transplant hepatology.
