Job summary

The University of Idaho in Moscow invites applications for a Senior Academic Coordinator for Student-Athlete Support Services (SAC-SASS). This role provides academic services and coaching to student-athletes, supporting their educational goals through counseling, course planning, and tutoring coordination.

Required: a Bachelor’s Degree, at least one year in academic advising or related services, strong organizational skills, and willingness to travel within the state.

Qualifications

• One year of experience providing academic advising, academic support, student success services, or related educational support services at the post-secondary level
• Experience using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
• Experience using business software used for word processing, spreadsheets, calendaring, and email management
• Experience working with students, faculty, staff, or other stakeholders in an educational setting
• Experience maintaining confidential student information and records

Responsibilities

• Academic counseling
• Academic coaching of student-athletes that present academic risk factors
• Assisting with course registration and monitoring NCAA Progress Towards Degree
• Serving as the Tutoring Liaison and assisting with orientation for new student-athletes
