Job summary

Wakely, a health actuarial consulting firm, seeks a Senior Consulting Actuary with deep ACA pricing, strategy, and market dynamics to lead client engagements and mentor junior consultants. You will manage actuarial project teams, supervise work, certify ACA premium rate filings, analyze claims data, model market impact, and shape pricing and product strategies in collaboration with clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, or statistics required.
• FSA designation or ASA designation with additional experience also required.
• 8+ years healthcare actuarial experience in Wakely’s core areas (Medicaid, ACA, etc.) with project/client management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage client engagements and supervise actuarial project teams.
• Certify ACA premium rate filings for individual and small group markets.
• Analyze detailed claims and enrollment data to inform pricing, forecasting, and strategy.
• Advise on plan design and product development aligned with client goals.
• Communicate complex findings to client executives clearly and persuasively.
• Mentor and develop junior team members; collaborate across teams to deliver integrated solutions.
