Job summary

ECLARO is seeking a Core Network Engineer 5G in Richardson, TX to design, deploy, operate, and optimize 5G core network platforms (AMF/SMF/UPF etc.), supporting internal operations and wholesale deployments across the U.S. and abroad.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, automation, and scripting in Python, Bash, or Go, with Open5GS, free5GC, or Magma experience. Collaboration with RAN, pre-sales, and project teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS or Engineering.
• 5–8 years in telecom designing and managing mobile core networks.
• Deep knowledge of 5G Core SA/NSA and 3GPP specs.
• Experience with Open5GS, free5GC, or Magma.
• Programming in C++, Python, Golang, Bash, or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, operate, and maintain 5G Core Network components (AMF, SMF, UPF, etc.).
• Support inter-PLMN roaming, secure interconnect architectures, and troubleshooting.
• Develop automation scripts to improve MTTR and deployment repeatability.
• Provide Tier-3 technical support for live networks and participate in incident handling.
