Job summary

PPG’s Advanced Manufacturing Team seeks a Senior 5‑Axis CNC Machinist & Programmer (Aerospace focus) in Grand Prairie, TX. You’ll program, set up, and run complex aerospace parts on gantry/portal mills, translating CAD/CAM outputs into efficient machining strategies.

You will refine G/M-code, select tooling, and verify tight tolerances with calipers, micrometers, and CMM. Prior Zimmermann experience is a big plus; VMC hardware and aerospace background preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Experience with large-format/gantry mills and 5-axis workflows is essential.
• Strong GD&T and precision metrology knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Own setups and production on gantry/portal CNC mills; Zimmermann platform experience is a big plus.
• Translate drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM outputs into robust machining strategies.
• Author and refine G/M-code for complex geometries and multi-axis operations.
