Job summary

BlockReel seeks a senior 1st Assistant Director to help bring a coming-of-age sci-fi drama to life in Atlanta. You will create and manage the shooting schedule, collaborate with the director and department heads to optimize workflow, and ensure the set runs efficiently and on time.

You should have extensive experience as a 1st AD on at least 2–3 significant short films, pilots, or features, and be comfortable using industry-standard scheduling software.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a 1st AD on 2–3 significant shorts, pilots, or features.
• Proficiency with industry-standard scheduling software.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills with a strong reel.
• Prep starts early October 2026; willing to commit to shoot window in late Oct–early Nov 2026.

Responsibilities
