Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd is recruiting experienced SEND tutors for one-to-one English, Maths, or Science tuition in Oxfordshire. Most sessions are 1–2 hours, home-based with hybrid options, paid monthly via tutor portal; roles are freelance, not permanent staff.

Applicants should have 2+ years teaching, QTS/QTLS, and DBS clearance. Right to work in the UK is required; Local Authorities and schools refer learners with SEMH/ SEND needs.

• UK-based with right to work in the UK; Enhanced DBS.
• Ability to work as a self-employed tutor with hybrid/home-based sessions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prep, and report from home; maintain templates and SEND Support Specialist guidance.
• Provide per-session reports and feedback to Local Authorities and schools.

We're recruiting experienced SEND tutors in Oxfordshire, £28 - £35 per hour, for one-to-one tuition with children and young people who've fallen out of mainstream education, or never been properly served by it.

How we work

Day to day

One-to-one tuition in English, Maths, or Science to children aged 4-18, referred by Local Authorities and schools.

Sessions typically 1-2 hours, in-person - often in the home, sometimes in school or a community setting, occasionally hybrid, usually within school hours.

Most learners have SEMH, ADHD, ASC, MLD, SLD, or other SEND needs; many are out of school or at risk of being so.

Per-session reports supported by templates and your SEND Support Specialist.

You'll need

• Experience: 2+ years' teaching or tutoring, including substantial hands-on work with SEMH, ADHD, ASC, MLD, SLD, or other SEND needs.
• Qualification: QTS or QTLS, or an equivalent specialist teaching qualification.
• Subjects: Confidence teaching English, Maths, or Science at one or more Key Stages.
• Safeguarding: It is a strict requirement that you have the ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can help arrange this) and two professional references.
• Right to work: UK-based with right to work in the UK.

Invoicing and payments

Paid monthly via an auto-generated invoice you approve in our tutor portal.

We interview on a rolling basis and respond to successful applicants within 2 weeks.
