Job summary

Axcelis Technologies is seeking a Reliability Test and Failure Analysis Engineer to develop and execute tests ensuring products meet reliability standards. You will collaborate with Product, HW, SW and Quality teams to exceed customer expectations.

The role requires hands-on testing, root-cause analysis, and lab ownership of test stands and equipment, with opportunities for growth and leadership within the Reliability Lab.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in ME, EE or Reliability Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design, reliability, or failure analysis.
• Experience with robotic or semiconductor products.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, guide, and create test methods and procedures for new and existing technologies.
• Own the product or test stand for continued testing for functionality, reliability and robustness on NPI products.
• Define equipment requirements, configurations, and test capabilities.
• Maintain test stand hardware, software, instrumentation, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze failed units to identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with HW and SW teams to analyze symptoms or logs during failures.
