Lam Research Corporation in the United States is seeking a Process Modeling Engineer to unite plasma science, process engineering, and predictive modeling. You will build, calibrate, and validate physics-based models that describe how plasma etch and deposition shape wafer structures, while training engineers to use the modeling tools and collaborating with developers to extend capabilities.
The role emphasizes solving complex engineering challenges, delivering actionable insights to meet
The Office of the CTO is where innovation takes center stage. We inspire our global technical community to take on grand challenges, understand emerging trends, identify the critical inflections, and drive our sustainability, Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices that will define the next generation of semiconductors and continued impact.
As a Process Modeling Engineer at Lam, you will connect plasma science, process engineering, and predictive modeling to solve complex engineering challenges. Using Lam's internal physics-based modeling software, you'll build, calibrate, and validate models that capture how plasma etch and deposition processes shape structures on the wafer. You'll apply expertise in process engineering, plasma physics, chemistry, and materials science to identify root causes, generate actionable insights, and help teams meet demanding customer requirements. You will also train engineers to use modeling tools and partner with developers to define new capabilities, test releases, and maintain product quality.
