Job summary

HORIBA is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for our Austin, TX facility. The role focuses on improving semiconductor manufacturing processes, with emphasis on gas and liquid state fluid control and metrology knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical preferred) with 2+ years’ experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills. Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Gas and Liquid state Fluid Control and Metrology used in the manufacture of Semiconductors.
• Knowledge of Original Equipment Manufacturers and the usage of flow control and metrology products within Front and Backend Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment products.
• Understanding of basic semiconductor process components primarily related to Temperature, Flow and Vacuum.
• Process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
• Improving manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
• Preparing and presenting plans for the above and coordinating deployment including training of team members.
• Assisting production manager in improving the system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training.
• General knowledge of ISO and utilization of ISO related standards.
• General knowledge of primary engineering design controls used when transferring products from engineering to production.
