Per Scholas in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an IT Support Technical Instructor (A+) on a contract basis. The role focuses on transforming adult learners into skilled technicians for semiconductor manufacturing through rigorous, hands-on training and lab‑based instruction.

The instructor will manage classroom and lab activities, emphasize safety and equipment operation, and work toward strong certification and job placement outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in electrical, electromechanical, or equipment-maintenance roles in semiconductor fabs or advanced manufacturing.
  • Certifications in semiconductor, maintenance, electrical, vacuum, or industrial safety disciplines are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom facilitation using a structured, approved curriculum with hands‑on lab activities.
  • Design and deliver practical labs, tests, and assessments for safety, wafer handling, and process equipment.
  • Monitor learner performance and provide feedback, coordinating with coaches and support staff.
  • Ensure certification and job placement outcomes through targeted instruction and data tracking.
