Job summary

Polar Semiconductor in Bloomington, MN is hiring an Equipment Technician for the 5:15AM-5:45PM shift (Thu-Fri-Sat, every other Wed). The role maintains and repairs 200mm semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a clean room, monitoring performance and performing preventative maintenance with electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems expertise.

You will document activities, collaborate with engineering, and help implement improved PM procedures.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in electrical circuits, pneumatics and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of test and calibration equipment such as O-scopes and DMMs.
• PC skills with MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic problems and address root causes.
• Ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs/calibrations on production equipment and systems.
• Document maintenance activities and complete PM checklists.
• Work with engineering to improve PM procedures and documentation.
• Safely operate in hazardous environments with proper PPE (SCBA or respirator).
• Participate in continuous improvement to minimize downtime and improve availability.
• Communicate and collaborate with maintenance, production and engineering teams.
