Job summary

Acara Solutions, An Aleron Company in San Jose, CA, seeks a CAD Design Engineer to develop components and assemblies for a semiconductor equipment design center. You will create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and documentation from concept through production.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and suppliers to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet performance, safety, and schedule requirements.

Qualifications

• Min 1 year of experience designing semiconductor equipment.
• Min 4 years of Solidworks and/or Autodesk Inventor experience in product design.
• BSME or similar engineering degree preferred; extensive semiconductor equipment experience acceptable without degree.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, materials, manufacturing processes, and DFM/DFA principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design components, assemblies, and systems based on project requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings and documentation using CAD software.
• Reverse engineer existing components to create accurate 3D models and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform design analysis, tolerance analysis, stress calculations, and simulations for thermal, structural, and fluid applications.
• Ensure GD&T and the ability to produce manufacturing-ready drawings.
