Job summary

The Trailer Technician will diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of trailers, including dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, and utility trailers, ensuring compliance with DOT and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Trailer Technician or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on trailer repair experience.
  • Knowledge of brake, suspension, hydraulics, electrical systems, and DOT requirements.
  • Ability to use shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding/fabrication tools.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy trailer components.
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine trailer servicing.
  • Repair or replace brake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-end components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components.
  • Complete frame, body, and structural repairs, including welding and fabrication.
  • Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Document repairs and maintain accurate work orders.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
  • Communicate repair needs with supervisors and team.

Trailer Maintenance | Weekly Pay | Sign‑On/Retention Bonus

TheTrailer Technician is responsible for performingdiagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repair on a wide range of trailers, including dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, cargo trailers, and utility trailers. This role requires experience troubleshootingmechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems while ensuring all equipment meetsDOT and safety compliance standards.

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repairmechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailers
  • Performpreventive maintenance (PM) and routine trailer servicing
  • Repair or replacebrake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-end components
  • Troubleshoot and repairlighting systems, wiring, and electrical components
  • Completeframe, body, and structural repairs, including welding and fabrication

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair needs

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as aTrailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Fleet Technician, or similar role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on experience intrailer repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge ofbrake systems, suspension systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and DOT requirements
  • Ability to use shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding/fabrication tools
  • Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy equipment and trailer components
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to a safe work environment and regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Previous experience in thetransportation, trucking, or fleet maintenance industry strongly preferred
  • Experience working with multiple trailer types (dry van, flatbed, reefer, utility, etc.) strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced shop environment
