Job summary

Nokia is seeking a Wafer Fab Operator to join our new wafer fabrication facility in California. You will operate and support automated and manual wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment, helping to launch and scale cutting-edge optical parts.

Shift is 6 AM to 6 PM on a Friday-Sunday schedule with alternating Thursdays. Training at the Sunnyvale site will prepare you to contribute to on-time delivery and continuous improvement while collaborating with engineers and production teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good hand-eye coordination for handling delicate wafers.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain automated wafer fabrication equipment.
• Execute wafer fab processes with precision following protocols.

Job description

As a Wafer Fab Operator at Nokia's new wafer fabrication facility, you will play a pivotal role in launching and scaling our state-of-the- art production of cutting-edge integrated optical parts. You will operate and support advanced automated and manual wafer fabrication equipment in a dynamic, high-tech cleanroom environment. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the successful startup of a new fab, where your expertise will help establish robust processes, achieve on- time delivery goals, and drive Nokia's technology leadership forward. Your work shift will be #6 (Friday through Sunday and alternating Thursday), 6 AM to 6 PM. You will collaborate closely with engineers, production teams, and fellow operators to ensure smooth ramp- up and sustained high performance.

You have:

It would be nice if you also had:

• Previous experience in semiconductor manufacturing or similar field
• Experience operating automated wafer fabrication equipment
• Familiarity with computer data entry and production reporting software
• Knowledge of wafer fabrication processes and procedures
