Job summary

GEX Transport is seeking Class A truck drivers for local, home daily routes in the Midwest. Compensation ranges from $1,600 to $1,800 per week with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Schedule is Wednesday to Sunday with potential 6th day bursts; typical 10–11 hour days and 1–2 nights out weekly.

Drivers operate in IL, IA, and MI with about 1,885 miles per week, no touch freight, and mandatory inspections. DOT drug screen and clean MVR/DUI history are required.

Class A Truck Drivers Local Home Daily for experienced drivers.

Compensation

$1600 to $1800 per week...$10,000 sign on bonus.

Semi Local

Schedule: Wed to Sun, Start Times: 1800-2200 (6:00 PM - 10:00 PM).
Could occasionally have to work a 6th day to cover drivers who are out or during peak season.
Average 10-11 hour workday (Avg. hours worked weekly 50-55).
Drivers are out in the truck 1-2 nights/week.

Duties

Complete pre trip and post trip inspections and deliver freight on time.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21, Valid CDL Class A license.
• Ability to pass a DOT drug screen., Urine Test.

Moving Violation

• No more than 2 in the last 3 years.
• Warnings on PSP will count towards moving violations.

Accident

• No more than 3 minor accidents/incidents in the past 3 years.
• No more than 3 incidents in the last 3 years.

Tickets

• No more than 3 accidents and/or tickets.
• No more than one preventable with less than 12 months of experience.

Felonies

• All criminal convictions are reviewed on an individual basis as part of an overall review of the file.Felony drug charges must be outside of 7 years.

Misdemeanors

• All criminal convictions are reviewed on an individual basis as part of an overall review of the file.

DUI/DWI

• No more than 1 and it must be outside of 5 years old.
• If Driver has 2 DUI's, they will be considered if both are prior to 2002.
• Drivers with a DUI/DWI in a CMV may be considered for employment with appropriate SAP paperwork.
