Job summary

Lou's Transport in Flat Rock MI is looking for CDL A truck drivers, preferable with 1 year of experience driving tractor and trailer.

Drivers will transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, asphalt, etc. Must possess excellent customer service skills, keep the truck clean, and abide by all state, local, and federal laws. This is a full-time, year-round position.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A license with clean driving record.
• Experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred, with 1 year recommended.
• Must adhere to all state, local, and federal laws.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Strong customer service and truck cleanliness.

• Job Level:Entry Level (less than 2 years)

Lou's Transport in Flat Rock MI, is looking for CDL A TruckDrivers preferable with 1 year of experience driving tractor andtrailer. Driver will be responsible to transport and dump loosematerials, such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, asphalt, etc...Must possess excellent customer service skills, keep truck clean,and abide by all state, local, and federal laws. This is a fulltime, year round position.

Experience and Skills:

• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, andemergency equipment is in good working order.
• Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading andalong routes in compliance with state regulations.
• Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repairstatus, following applicable state and federal regulations
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, ordamage to the vehicle
• Maintain proper maintenance of truck and distribute includingtire pressure, fluid levels, etc.
• Inspects load to make sure cargo is secure.
• Pulls lever or turns crank to tilt body and dump contents.
• Must maintain Department of Transportation compliance at all times.
• Communicate using 2-way radios and verbal communication.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
• Drivers must have minimum of 2 years semi-dump experience.
• Valid class A license with good driving record.
