Enterprise Knowledge (EK) in Arlington, VA, is seeking a full-time Semantic Data and AI Engineer to design and deploy data discovery, integration, and governance solutions for organizations worldwide. You will join a team developing orchestrated data solutions to transform knowledge assets for AI applications and advance enterprise AI transformations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, economics, data science, computer science, or a related field.
• 5+ years experience in data analysis projects, reporting, and data analysis approaches in production.
• Proven experience with client briefings, meetings, and presenting work products.
• Experience applying machine learning methods and statistical analysis to business use cases.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience with NLP methods: entity extraction, text classification, document processing in production settings.
• Hands-on experience building and optimizing RAG pipelines, including embedding strategies and reranking.
• Familiarity with retrieval quality and evaluation metrics (precision, recall, MRR).
• Experience implementing monitoring for RAG and AI components (latency, cache hit rate, data drift).
• Familiarity with data modeling, database architecture, and data integration across sources.
• Interest in consulting and growing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Understand and model client domains with SMEs and business users.
• Apply NLP techniques to transform raw data into AI-ready assets.
• Design, test, and operate end-to-end RAG workflows for client engagements.
• Contribute to agentic AI solution design and memory/retrieval integration.
• Support BI projects using AI-based solutions.
• Analyze complex datasets and communicate insights to diverse stakeholders.
• Design data pipelines for ingesting and enriching structured and unstructured content using SQL, Python, or R.
• Contribute to semantic layers and knowledge graph implementations.
• Collaborate with teams to contextualize data engineering within larger projects.
