Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Corvallis, Oregon seeks a SEM Lab Technician to support Analytical Development. You will perform SEM and mechanical cross-section analyses on materials and components, generating high-quality data and detailed reports for R&D, product development and manufacturing.

Collaborating with Engineering, you will ensure safety, calibration, quality control, and timely delivery using LIMS and lab software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of analytical or R&D lab technician experience.
• 3+ years of SEM experience; Mechanical Cross-section experience a plus.
• AA/AS degree in chemistry, metals, materials, physics, computers, electronics or similar technology, or equivalent combination of education and job experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment with changing schedules and urgent timelines.
• Ability to manage complex tasks and prioritize work.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering partners to meet lab goals.
• Ability to learn/operate advanced instruments including setup, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality data and detailed reports.
• Ensure results within negotiated delivery dates.
• Use LIMS to manage task requests and priorities.
• Create lab reports and store images for customers.
• Perform method development and document SOPs.
• Support quality systems through proper techniques and gauge studies.
• Work with minimal supervision on complex assignments.
