Job summary

Susquehanna International Group seeks a Sell Side Research Associate in our New York office to provide research support for the technology space. The role will be mentored by a well-known Senior Analyst and will perform financial analysis, market research, and competitive profiling for coverage companies.

You will gather data from SEC filings, company materials, and industry publications, interact with management and investors, and help monitor news and events while supporting the research team

Qualifications

• 2+ years of analytical work experience in finance/accounting and/or engineering.
• Prior equity research experience a plus
• Knowledge of technology sector (Hardware, Software, Internet) a plus

Overview

Susquehanna's Sell Side Equity Research Department is looking for talent that wants to be a part of a ranked research platform. In order to continue the success of delivering a differentiated research product, we are looking for an Sell Side Research Associate to provide research support for the technology space in our New York office. The role will be mentored by a well-known Senior Analyst. Under the guidance of the Senior Analyst, the Research Associate will perform most of the major functions of a research analyst, including analysis of individual company financial statements, market research, product and competitive positioning.

In This Role, You Will

• Provide primary analytical support for the Senior Analyst covering the space
• Conduct proprietary research, customer/partner interviews and industry surveys
• Perform financial and valuation analysis by generating financial models/forecasts and competitive profiles on companies under coverage
• Gather and analyze data from a variety of sources, including, but not limited to, company documents and materials, SEC/regulatory filings (annual reports, 10-K's 10-Q's, etc.), industry publications, trade shows, and online data services
• Interact with company management, internal sales force, and institutional investors
• Monitor and evaluate company news and events
• Perform other related duties, as assigned

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of (analytical) work experience in such fields as finance/accounting and/or engineering.
• Prior equity research (sell/buy side) a plus
• Knowledge of the technology sector (Hardware, Software, Internet), a plus
• Series 7, 63, 86 and/or 87 a plus, but not required
• Passion for the markets, passion for a career in equity research, illustration this through prior school projects and/or work experience a plus
• Illustrating a desire to pursue a career in sell side equity research a plus
• Excellent research, writing, communication, and organization skills; candidates must be extremely detail oriented
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
• Independent thinker and self-starter with the motivation to learn about and excel in a dynamic industry
• Will not require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future

The annual base pay range for this role is $115,000- $140,000 + discretionary bonus + benefits. Susquehanna considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, work experience, education/training, key skills, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
