Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Safety Administrator for the Outpatient Wound Care Center and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. The role focuses on administering HBOT, wound care and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include safe medication administration, collaboration with medical staff, and educating patients and families about ongoing treatments. An RN/LPN/RT/EMT with relevant experience is required, with UHMS and EPIC EHR training preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy or graduate of an accredited LPN/EMT program.
• Current state licensure as LPN/RT or EMT certification.
• Recent RN experience in acute care or home health care is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications safely according to policies.
• Collaborates with facility management to ensure safety of patients, staff and visitors.
• Performs HBOT/wound assessments and educates patients and families about treatments.
• Identifies learning needs and provides individualized patient education.
• Supports overall safety operations and ensures compliance with care standards.
