Access: Supports for Living is seeking Direct Care Workers to support individuals in the NYC area, Long Island, and Lower Hudson Valley. The role focuses on teaching daily living skills, documenting progress, and providing skill-building support in a consumer-directed environment.

Responsibilities include advocacy, flexible scheduling, and participating in mandatory trainings to ensure quality care and positive outcomes for the persons served.

Qualificações

• Prior experience with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorders
• Experience as Direct Care Worker and ability to build relationships with clients
• Ability to perform lifting and one-on-one support for specific clients
• Ability to advocate, problem-solve, teach life skills and document progress; flexibility to support consumers and attend meetings

Responsabilidades

• Teach daily living skills and other skills identified in the consumer's goal plan.
• Complete extensive documentation documenting progress.
• Direct care work involving skill building and teaching daily living skills.
• Attend treatment meetings and mandatory agency trainings
