Job summary

Royal Community Support is seeking a Saturday Overnight Direct Support Professional to assist a person living independently at Rebecca’s Homestead in Wantage, NJ. The shift runs Saturday 9:00 PM to Sunday 9:00 AM and pays $25/hour.

The DSP will provide personal care, assist with meals, medication administration via G-tube, light housekeeping, and companionship. Candidates must be dependable, respectful, and comfortable around a cat, with the ability to follow a communication board and support

Qualifications

• Experience with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Ability to administer medications via a G-tube.
• Comfort with reading and following a communication board.
• Ability to assist a person who uses a wheelchair.
• Comfort around cats and willingness to care for a household cat.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized support including personal care and daily routines.

Saturday Overnight Direct Support Professional

Saturday 9:00 PM – Sunday 9:00 AM
$25/hour

We are looking for a reliable, caring, and respectful Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a cheerful and outgoing person who lives independently with a cat at Rebecca’s Homestead.

The person supported enjoys being active in the community and communicating with others. Communication is primarily through a communication board, so the ability to communicate is essential.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building a genuine relationship with the person they support while helping maintain independence, make choices, and participate in everyday life.

Responsibilities

The DSP will provide individualized support with:

• Personal care, including bathing, toileting, hygiene, and getting in and out of bed
• Medication administration through a G-tube
• Preparing breakfast and meals
• Household tasks, including laundry and light housekeeping
• Caring for the household cat
• Supporting community activities and outings, including wheelchair assistance
• Providing companionship and encouragement while respecting personal choices, routines, and independence
