Imperial Distributors, Inc. is seeking a Selector to pick products from three levels of pick lines to fulfill customer orders by matching orders and UPCs. The role uses both manual methods and the Lydia voice system for confirmation.

Candidates should be punctual, team-oriented, safety-minded, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. Downtown Worcester location offers 4 days of 10 hours with Saturdays required, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to log in and follow simple instructions.
• Warehouse experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret simple words and numbers.
• Ability to speak and understand in simple English.
• Basic arithmetic: add/subtract multi-digit numbers, multiply/divide by 10s and 100s.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to handle concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

As a Selector, you will be responsible for selecting/picking product from our pick lines (located on 3 levels) as required, to fill orders for customers by matching orders and UPC codes. Schedule

Schedule: 4 days, 10 hours per day from 6am to 4:30pm, Saturdays required

Essential Responsibilities And Duties Include

• Reads order and numerical code to determine items to be picked.
• Confirms order using voice system [Lydia]
• The employee will frequently handle items weighing up to 2 pounds, may occasionally lift up to 25-50 pounds (depends upon line) during a 10-hour shift.
• Places items in totes, banding like items where appropriate.
• Notifies line starter and stocker of any shortages.
• Pushes totes down rollers to next order selector.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Confirm orders upon completion by keying information into the computer database and/or using voice system [Lydia].
• Meets productivity and accuracy standard.
• General housekeeping of work area.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills – requiring able to use a log in and password and follow simple instructions.
• Some warehouse experience preferred but not required
• Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and difference between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to speak and understand in simple English.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10’s and 100’s.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
