Job summary

Nextek, A Company of Kontron, is seeking a hands-on electronics assembler to join our precision PCB manufacturing team in Madison, AL. You will operate solder equipment, program machines to IPC-A-610 standards, and monitor processes to keep defect levels within targets.

Must have soldering skills, microscope experience, and the ability to follow written instructions. Two years in electronics manufacturing and HS diploma are required; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Min. two years' experience in electronics manufacturing.
• IPC 610 / J-STD 001 Certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate electromechanical solder equipment for PCB assembly.
• Program machines to IPC-A-610 standards.
• Monitor process and take corrective actions to meet defect targets.
• Soldering knowledge and ability to identify components.
• Work with others and follow written instructions; overtime when required.

Duties/Requirements

• Operate electromechanical solder equipment used in the assembly of electronic circuit boards in a manufacturing environment.
• Program machines as required to perform soldering applications to IPC-A-610 acceptability standards
• Monitor the assembly process and make any corrective actions to ensure target defect goals
• Soldering knowledge and skills required
• Working knowledge of component identification
• Must be able to use a microscope
• Able to work well with others and follow written instructions
• Able to work overtime when required

Skills/Experience/Education/Training Required

• Min. two (2) years' experience in electronics manufacturing environment
• IPC 610 / J-STD 001 Certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
