Anduril Industries' Maritime Division seeks a senior Systems Engineer to own requirements, interfaces, and the verification plan for a maritime autonomous vehicle. You will lead the SEIT function and direct the MBSE systems engineer supporting it, coordinating subsystem teams across structures, energy, propulsion, and vehicle management to retire risk.

• Travel up to 25% to test sites and operational locations.

Anduril's Maritime Division is transforming American sea power to meet the defining national security challenges of our era and secure our future of maritime dominance.
We are scaling at an historic pace, anchored by Arsenal-2, our new software-defined shipyard being built in Baltimore County, Maryland. It's part of a new $6.6 billion investment in America's submarine industrial base.
Arsenal-2 is purpose-built to break long-standing industrial bottlenecks and scale production of critical components for the Navy's Virginia-class attack submarines to support fleet requirements. At the same time, it will build the industrial muscle to field our next-generation AUVs at scale.
We aren't waiting for the new shipyard to be completed. The work on this transformation starts right now, with development inside our new 160,000 square foot Proto-Factory in Orange County, California, where the team is already laying the foundation. ABOUT THE JOB

You will own requirements, interfaces, and the verification plan for a maritime autonomous vehicle, and run the campaign that takes it from separate subsystem deliveries to a vehicle that works in the water. You will lead the SEIT function and direct the MBSE systems engineer supporting it.
Subsystem teams across structures, energy, propulsion, communications, and vehicle management are designing in parallel against interfaces that do not fully exist yet. This role writes those interfaces down, holds teams to them, and decides what gets tested in what order to retire the most risk per dive.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own the vehicle requirements baseline, from program requirements down to subsystem specifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• 8+ years in systems engineering on complex hardware and software vehicles, including at least 2 years leading integration and test
• Experience owning requirements and interface baselines across multiple subsystem teams
• Experience planning and executing verification campaigns on physical hardware
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with AUV, UUV, submarine, spacecraft, or aircraft integration and test
• Experience with MBSE and SysML, either owning a system model or consuming one
• Experience leading at-sea or remote field test campaigns
• Experience on a program where the requirements baseline did not exist yet
• Experience in defense or maritime robotics

US Salary Range

$191,000 — $253,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
