Job summary

CrossSafety is seeking a SEIBI Technician to support automotive manufacturing programs across North America. You will assist with equipment installation, verification, and trial runs, while collaborating with engineers, vendors, and plant teams to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.

The role involves hands-on field work, travel up to 50%, and coordination with customers on new model launches and ongoing production.

Qualifications

2-year technical degree, trade school certification, or 3+ years equivalent technical experience.
Hands-on experience with industrial equipment installation, troubleshooting, or commissioning.
Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
Experience with PLC programming or troubleshooting (Toyopuc, AB, Omron, Siemens).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams).
Ability to travel domestically & internationally (up to 50%).
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Support equipment installation, commissioning, and trial-based confirmations.
Perform Seibi checks for Safety, Electrical, and Mechanical design compliance.
Verify equipment against Toyota standards and production requirements.
Review mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and safety interlock logic.
Support adjustments to meet targets for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
Online robot programming and offline simulation; adjust robot paths and cycle times.
Support PLC programming and troubleshooting; assist with vision systems and sensors.
Validate conveyor, AGV/AMR operation; coordinate vendor trials and buyoffs.
Create handover documents and maintain KPIs and punchlists.
