Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a qualified accounting/finance professional to support technical accounting compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting. You will perform quarterly balance sheet reviews, assist with field modifications, and drive process improvements across sub-segments in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly balance sheet reviews for sub-segments and document commentary.
• Support accounting for potential Field Modifications or recalls affecting sub-segments.
• Map and integrate processes from business development, including reconciliations and automation.
• Analyze Manual Journal Entries (MJE) and identify improvements.
• Prepare account reconciliations and assist impairment evaluation for asset categories.
• Oversee expense accruals impacting sub-segments for quarterly close.
• Support SOX testing controls and internal audit assessments.
• Perform other financial and sub-segment related tasks as needed.

Job Description Summary

You will be responsible for supporting technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of balance sheet review process on a quarterly basis for the sub-segments, supporting and reviewing commentaries, enabling open items to resolution, deep-dive review of certain high-risk areas
• Support the accounting, recurring review and documentation for potential Field Modifications (or recalls) impacting the sub-segments
• Integrate processes from business development, including mapping, load, tie out, reconciliations, CoE coordination, system integration, automations
• Manual Journal Entries (MJE) analysis and opportunities
• Preparation of account reconciliations
• Support the impairment evaluation process for various asset categories on the sub-segment balance sheet, including, capitalized software, investments, intangible assets and P&E
• Manage various expense accrual accounts (for example, research accruals) impacting the sub-segments directly for appropriate quarterly close assessment
• Support SOx testing controls and internal audit assessments
• Other financial and sub-segment related activities, as applicable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4 + years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance
• Expertise in application of policies and procedures for day-to-day accounting and financial transactions

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $105,600.00-$158,400.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
