Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an Administrative Assistant to work closely with a lead Attorney and a Litigation paralegal in an on-site capacity at our office. You will handle scheduling, filing, billing support, document management and client communications to ensure smooth case workflow.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail and clear written/verbal communication, with the pace of a busy litigation environment and opportunities for professional growth within a leading

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Paralegal degree/certificate preferred.
  • Experience in injury-related practice areas preferred.
  • At least 2 years as Administrative Assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Highly organized with multitasking and strong communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties including scheduling hearings, organizing case files, and logistics.
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices.
  • Improve administrative processes for efficiency.
  • Collect, examine and organize evidence for attorney review and case prep.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents.
  • Research regulations, laws and legal articles for reports and case files.
  • Manage client billing and resolve billing issues with the billing attorney.
  • Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings and depositions.
  • Manage documents in filing systems (paper/electronic).
  • Provide general administrative support including calendar and travel arrangements.

Summary

This role will work closely with a lead Attorney and Litigation paralegal. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.

Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
  • Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflow
  • Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts
  • Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice
  • Manage client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills, as well as resolving billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorney
  • Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions
  • Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
  • Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney’s calendar and making travel arrangements
Qualification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate (preferred)
  • Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party or other injury related practice areas (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant preferably in a law firm setting or in a corporate legal department.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills

This role is on-site, which gives you the chance to be fully immersed in the work and gain direct experience alongside the team.
