Job summary

Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is hiring experienced Caregivers and CNAs for immediate assignments in Huntsville, AL and surrounding areas. Interview from home with self-scheduled Zoom slots.

Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN roles available. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k), and flexible scheduling. Must have valid driver’s license and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• 2 years of caregiving experience OR CNA Certification.
• Must pass background screening.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting and incontinence care).
• Provide mobility support and transfers.
• Use assistive devices (gait belt, walker, wheelchair, Hoyer lift).
• Assist in fall prevention and general safety awareness.
• Help reposition bedbound clients to prevent discomfort.
• Offer companionship and daily living assistance.
• Follow care plans and ensure client safety.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Engage clients in hobbies, games, or activities.
• Monitor for changes in mood or behavior and provide social interaction.
• Provide reminders to take medications as scheduled.
