Sittercity.com family in Seattle, WA seeks a caregiver for an active 4-year-old with special needs. The role focuses on after-school support, including pick-up, play, and reinforcing ongoing speech/OT and daily routines at home.

Ideal candidate will have experience with speech/OT, child development, or autism, and be available Monday to Wednesday 4:00–6:30 PM, with potential Sunday hours (4–5 hours) and holiday/break coverage as discussed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting after-school with activities for a 4-year-old, including supervising play and routines.
• Support with key speech/OT/daily routine practices being worked on at home.
• Occasional Sunday support (4–5 hours) for the child and sibling, on weekends if possible.
• Holiday/break hours available as needed.

Job description

We are looking for a caregiver with experience working with children with special needs. Our son, is an active 4-year old who brings a smile, a dance move, and a toy vehicle with him everywhere he goes. We are hoping for someone who can spend time with him after school (incl. pick up) and support him in continuing to work on some of the key speech/OT/daily routine practices we're supporting him with.

We'd like to find a caregiver with experience in either speech/OT, child development, or working with kids with autism.

Ideal schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 4p-6:30pm.

In addition to weekdays, we'd like support on Sundays (4-5hrs) for our son and his sibling (only on weekend) if possible, but open to discussion.

Holiday/break hours available as well.
