Job summary

Syngenta Seeds Field Crops is seeking a Production Support Specialist to help execute seed production from contracting to delivery. You will work under senior agronomists to ensure timely seed supply and maintain a strong QMS and HSE culture on-site.

You will perform field scouting, data collection, and coordination with growers, while supporting harvest planning, inventory management, and production planning activities to drive quality and yield.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced degree preferred in Agronomy or related field.
• Less than 3 years of experience in seed production, agronomy, or field crop management.
• Ability to identify common pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Support grower recruitment, onboarding and contract administration under guidance of senior agronomists.
• Conduct field scouting and crop monitoring; document observations and report findings.
• Assist detasseling, rouging, and pollination-management planning where applicable.
• Collect field data including stand counts, disease/pest observations, purity inspections, yield estimates.
• Support harvest planning and logistics coordination with growers and site personnel.
• Assist inventory allocation and variety distribution to seed producers.
• Execute agronomic production plans and communicate adjustments to growers.
• Coordinate with growers on agronomic inputs per production specs.
• Support bin-sampling activities and maintain field records per QMS, WPS and EPA.
• Assist contract execution, field mapping, and state seed certification management.
• Record and track field activity; foster continuous improvement and mentor technicians.
• Build AI literacy while applying governance and data protection.
