Job summary

HM.CLAUSE, a Limagrain business unit, invites applications for a vegetable seed product development role in the Western US. The candidate will design and implement trial plans, evaluate product performance, and collaborate with sales, breeders, and marketing to deliver market-ready varieties.

The position requires a BS in Agronomy, Agribusiness or Horticulture (or equivalent) and 3+ years in the vegetable industry; proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to travel and work in field

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Agronomy, Agribusiness or Horticulture, or equivalent field and/or 3+ years of experience in the Vegetable industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides high level service and product information to customers.
• Develops and implements annual trial plans to identify new varieties meeting customer needs, ensuring seed sample availability.
• Establishes, maintains, and evaluates product development trials and analyzes data to determine product strengths and benefits.
• Develops and implements product development action plans to build a sustainable pipeline of products.
• Monitors market trends and competitive landscape.
• Builds in-depth knowledge about key competitor products.
• Works with Western USA Sales Manager, TSRs, Product Managers, Breeders and associates; provides monthly Product Development reports.
• Manages HMC variety portfolio for the Region and distributes seed.
• Aids in trial evaluations region-wide.
• Participates in trade shows, field days, and related events.
• Contributes to resolution of product performance issues with customers with sales team.
