Job summary

Beck’s Hybrids in Beaman, IA is seeking a Regular Full-Time Processing/Packaging associate to help process, treat and bag seed. The role operates on 2nd or 3rd shift from October through March with daytime hours otherwise.

The position involves operating equipment, assisting with seed treater and bagging line, and maintaining quality standards. Education requires a HS diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s insurance policy.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to perform mathematical computations.
• Must successfully complete Beck’s Fork Lift training.

Responsibilities

• Follow directives from Bagging Lead, Processing Plant Manager, or Production Location Manager.
• Operate processing equipment in the plant.
• Operate the seed treater in the plant.
• Operate the bagging line.
• Communicate to supervisor any quality concerns with product.
• Report status of operations and supply needs to management.
• Assist in implementing and following quality control standards in processing, treating and packaging.
• Assist with husking, sorting, drying, discard and shelling operations.
• Record bagging information for the Bagging Lead, Processing Plant Manager, or Production Location Manager.
• Perform other related duties as required.
