Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Seeds Engineer Co‑op in Missouri (Chesterfield) to support front‑end engineering design and seed production facilities. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across multiple sites, helping with process documentation, layouts, and project coordination.

You’ll work with cross‑functional teams, contribute to permitting, start‑up, and commissioning efforts, and travel as needed across the United States during the co‑op term.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Mechanization, or a related engineering program.
• Completed 1 year of a Bachelor's program.
• Interest in working in an applied engineering role supporting seed production facilities.
• Willingness to travel to seed production locations across the United States during the Co-op term.

Responsibilities

• Support front-end definition of seed processing–intensive projects, including functional specs, flows, equipment layouts, and related documentation.
• Assist in preparing information for environmental permits with process descriptions and equipment details.
• Contribute to building layouts and site planning documents for safe, efficient facilities.
• Participate in periodic project reviews and provide updates on scope, schedule, risks, and decisions.
• Coordinate with contractors and field questions to support construction activities.
• Assist with equipment start-up, performance verification, and troubleshooting for commissioning.
