Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services in Lubbock, TX is seeking a dependable Seed Plant Operator for a temporary contract to support seed plant and warehouse operations, including seed treatment, counting, bagging, packaging, sampling, and inventory control.

You will work with a safety-conscious, team-oriented operations group, enjoy hands-on production, equipment operation, and problem-solving to maintain accurate records and a tidy plant environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of production, plant, warehouse, agriculture, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space Entry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate seed counting, bagging, treating, sampling, packaging equipment.
• Monitor counts, weights, labels, and packaging quality.
• Collect quality samples and enter data accurately.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform basic repairs on baggers and related gear.
• Assist with inventory counts and seed handling during changes.
• Maintain safe, organized work area during production.
